What is AMCAT
Aspiring minds Computer Adaptive Assessment (AMCAT) is basically a product by aspiring minds. AMCAT have a pact with a lot of companies like Accenture, Cognizant and companies like Intel and Wipro etc. So these companies basically do not hire fresher graduate anymore like direct exam or their directs off-campus hiring profile, rather than that AMCAT outsources the aspirants who have given AMCAT exam to the different-2 companies based on obtained score in the test. AMCAT conducts an exam containing various sections depending upon the kind of companies you want to apply for. Most of the companies pacts with the AMCAT are IT companies and BPO profile companies. AMCAT is a good place for job hunting. If you are not already placed, then there are a lot of other exams like Elitmus, AMCAT, Co Cube etc.
Elitmus has to be taken 100% because they have better companies and better work profile and even the packages are higher than AMCAT. However if you are still not placed, we suggest you to give all the three exams (i.e. AMCAT, Elitmus, Co Cube). If you have done engineering, you should not think of Rs. 1000 more. Because it will land up you to a job.There are a lot of companies who pacts with the AMCAT and recruit the candidates based on his skills.
What percentile do you need to get companies offers
Score anything higher than 80 percentile will land you a job in company like Accenture or Cognizant but it you scored even 79 percent, they might not recruit you until unless you have a good profile and studied from a good college because 2 to 3 lakhs of candidates gives the AMCAT exam every year. They want to select best out there and test is not so much hard but there is a lot of competition. Even you do a lot of right questions, your percentile may be still less because there are people who prepare for AMCAT for about 2-3 months and then give the AMCAT exam. Atleast a month is very necessary for you to prepare. You can do a lot of things in that a month’s time generally.
Generally there are five sections in AMCAT exam, 3 of which are compulsory to attempt i.e. English, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Computer Programming, Computer Science. Some sections are also come based on the engineering background branch. After completing fourth section, they will give you an option to select from other branches like civil, mechanical, metallurgy etc.

A large number of big companies (MNC i.e. Multi National Companies) exists in world which recruit the candidates through AMCAT exam. Example – Mphasis, Accenture (many times through AMCAT), Infosys, TCS, BYJU, Vyom Labs, Tavant Technologies, Deloitee, HP Inc., Snapdeal, Oracle and more.
Medium and small-sized Companies that hire through AMCAT
Companies like Josh Technology, Quikr, Aglsem, Aricent, Trading bell, Magic Pen etc.
Start-up companies that hire through AMCAT
Uber, Ola and more state-based companies.
