Food Corporation of India (FCI) phase 1 exam has started from 31st May. Exams will conduct till 3rd June 2019. 1st June is the second day of exam. This organisation is run by GOI. Its headquater is in Chennai. In this article, we are going to provide the detailed analysis of FCI exam.

FCI Exam Reporting Time
FCI exam for phase 1 will be conducted in 4 shifts according to below timing.
Shift 1 (8:15 AM – 8:45 AM),
Shift 2 (10:45 AM to 11.15 AM),
Shift 3 (01:15 PM to 01.45 PM),
Shift 4 ( 03:45 PM to 04.15 PM)

FCI Phase-1 Online Prelims Exam Pattern

- This Phase-1 paper is Objective MCQ based. Each question is carry 1 mark.
- 1/4th part of question marks will be deducted from total on giving wrong answer (i.e. negative marking).
- All questions will be in both Hindi & English except English subject.
- Marks obtained in this phase-1 paper will not be considered in final merit list.
- Each section has 20 minutes separately.

FCI English Paper was having some below questions.
- Synonymous of ‘Catch’ and ‘Simple’
- Reading Comprehension (RC) was based on a story of a girl.
- Some Idiom & Phrase were asked from RC.

♦ Cloze Test (5 questions) : Easy
♦ Sentence Rearrangement (2-3 questions) : Easy to moderate

FCI Exam Analysis – Phase 1 Numerical Aptitude
Questions are distributed as given below.
♦ Mixture Alligation (1 question) : Easy
♦ Profit/Loss (1 question) : Easy
♦ Simplification (10 questions) : Easy
♦ Time, Speed and Distance (1 question) : Easy
♦ SI/CI (2 question) : Easy-Moderate
♦ Missing Series (2 question) : Easy-Moderate
♦ Data Interpretation(Bar Graph) (5 questions) : Easy-Moderate
♦ Average (Age) (1 question) : Easy-Moderate
♦ Time & work (1 question) : Easy-Moderate
♦ Boat & Stream (1 question) : Moderate
- Ratio of upstream/downstream is 9/7. If speed of stream is 3 Km/hr. Find time taken by the boat to move opposite to the stream.
- If a person gives 25% discount, he earns a profit of Rs.675. If gives a 20% discount, then the profit earned is Rs.875. Find CP.
- Difference of ages of A and B is given, if 4 years ago A’s age was 4 times of B’s age.. Then after 6 years find the sum of the ages of A and B.

FCI Numerical Aptitude Question Shift 3
- If CP of 8 chairs and 6 tables are same. CP of 2 chairs and 1 table is Rs.7220. Then find CP of 1 Chair and 2 Tables.
- An article is sold at a 40% profit where profit is Rs.264. Then an another article is given whose CP is Rs.300 less than the first article. If article B is sold at 20% Profit. Find SP of second article.
FCI Exam Analysis – Phase 1 Reasoning Ability
General Intelligence & Reasoning is a scoring section. So Candidates must use his ability to resolve this with speed.
1. Number Series- 854, 762,528, 763, 627 if they are arranged in ascending order, questions were asked to find the positions.
2. Circular Seating Arrangement- 8 people A,B,C,D,E,G,H,K are seating around a circular table in an inward position. A is third left of B. C is neighbor of A.D is second left of C. E is immediate right to G. 3 people are between E and H. K is second left of H. Then 5 questions were asked on this problem.
♦ Alpha Numeric Series (4-5 questions) : Easy-Moderate
♦ 3 Puzzles (Circular, Linear & Day wise) (15 questions) : Moderate
♦ Syllogism (5 questions), Direction (3 questions), Inequality (5 questions) : Easy
