Food Corporation of India has already released the FCI Syllabus for following posts.

  • Junior Engineer (JE) – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering
  • Steno Grade-II
  • Assistant Grade (AG) : AG-II Hindi, AG-III (General/ Accounts/ Technical/ Depot)
  • Typist (Hindi)

FCI Selection Process 2019

Generally, an aspirants who want to get a FCI job have to qualify in all three below stages or phases.

  1. Online Test (CBT Prelims Exam) : Phase-1 (Common for All Posts) & Phase-2 (CBT Main Exam – Based on Post)
  2. Skill Test
  3. Document Verification

After clearing all three above rounds, candidates will be posted as a FCI employee.

FCI Phase 1 Exam Pattern

This phase-1 online exam will be common for all the posts.

This exam will be Objective Type questions based.

1/4th part of the question mark will be deducted on giving wrong answer.

Reasoning and Numerical part will in bilingual and English subject will be in English only.

FCI Phase 2 Exam Pattern

FCI Phase 2 is consist of two categories : First Exam Paper consisting of single exam only and Second Exam Paper consisting of two paper after qualifying for Phase-I.

FCI Phase 2 Exam Pattern (www.affairsguru.com)

  • Paper-I is common for post code A, B, F, G, H and I.
  • Paper-III is common for post code D and E.
  • Candidates applying for any ONE of the post code A, B, G and H will appear in Paper-I  to be followed by Paper-II.
  • Candidates applying for post code D will appear in Paper-III to be followed by Paper-IV.
  • Online Test for phase II – Paper I, II, III & IV will be held in single sitting only.

FCI Phase 2 Paper 1 Syllabus

  • Paper-1 will comprise of 120 Objective Type Questions for total duration 90 minutes.
  • Syllabus : General Aptitude consisting of Reasoning/ General Intelligence, English Language, General Awareness, Computer Proficiency, Current Events, Data Analysis/ Numerical Ability/ Data Interpretation for the Post Code A {JE(Civil Engg.)}, B{JE(Electrical Mechanical Engg.)}, F{AG-III(General)}, G{AG-III(Accounts)}, H{AG-III(Technical)} & I {AG-III(Depot)}

FCI Phase 2 Paper 2 Syllabus

  • It comprises of 60 Objective Type Questions for total 60 minutes.
  • 60 MCQs for Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering for candidates applying for Post Code A{JE(Civil Engg.)}, B{JE(Electrical Mechanical Engg.)} to assess the post specific technical knowledge relevant to stream.
  • 60 MCQs for Commerce particularly General Accounting and Finance for candidates applying for the post code G{AG-III(Accounts)} to assess the post specific technical knowledge to relevant stream.
  • 60 MCQs on Agriculture, Botany and Zoology (Group A) or Agriculture, Chemistry and Physics (Group B) for candidates applying for the post code H {AG-III(Technical)} to evaluate the specific technical knowledge to relevant stream.

FCI Phase 2 Paper 3 Syllabus

  • It comprises of 120 Objective Type Questions for total 90 minutes.
  • Syllabus : General Hindi, General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Computer Knowledge for candidates applying for post code D {AG-II(Hindi)} and E{Typist (Hindi)}.

FCI Phase 2 Paper 4 Syllabus

  • This paper 4 will be subjective in nature for time duration of 90 minutes.
  • 2 passages will be given to translate into Hindi and English respectively.
  • Each 2 question would carry 60 marks. Max. Marks for Paper 4 is 120.
  • Paper 4 for the post of AG-II (Hindi) will be descriptive and conducted online. Candidates must be able to use following keyboard layout : (1) Inscript (2) Remington (GAIL).

FCI Phase 2 Paper 5 Syllabus

  • It comprises of 120 Objective Type Questions for total 90 minutes.
  • Syllabus : General English, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Computer Knowledge (specific knowledge of MS Word and Internet) for candidates applying for post code C {Steno Grade-II}.
