SSC MTS Exam Analysis 2018 Descriptive Exam : 28th January 2018
Dear Aspirants, Finally, SSC has conducted SSC MTS Tier II (Descriptive Paper) 2016-17 today(28th January 2018) without any delay. Here we have come up with the review of SSC MTS Tier II Paper.
Descriptive Exam is always be of Qualifying Nature carrying 50 marks where a candidate will be asked either to write an essay with 250 word limit or a letter containing 150 words with +/- 30% relaxation in word limits. Candidates has to be given only 30 Minutes time specially for General Category.
Yet, Marks of Paper 2 Descriptive Exam will not be added in the final selection merit list. There will be at most 5 topics for Essay and Letter separately.

word limit wasnt given so i wrote 2.5 pages for essay and th end para wasnt complete … how much marks wouls be deducted. pl tell i am quite tensed.
word limit nai dia tha ki 250 words ya 300 words likhna hai toh essay agar 3 pages tak ho jaye toh chalega?? Nai toh kitne marks katne k chances hai. Plz reply do

agar hum 250 ya 300 words likh de to koi problem nahi hai, Your sentence and paragraph should be understandable.
Lakhwinder ji mera 2 and a half pages tak gaya hai essay like maybe 400 to 450 words toh kya marks cut hongey ?? Usmey word limit nai dia tha toh maine usi hisaab se likha ki 50 marks ka lagey.. Haan para and sentences ache likhey hai .. Toh b kya prob hoga bcz 450 words k as paas hai
Ishu, agar Apka 400 se 450 words hua hai to apka utne marks cut kar lia jayenge that depends on the checker-how much marks will he give.But Sure, marks will be cut if there is so much word limit. Don’t worry waise b Descriptive test ke marks merit list me count nahi hote hai…
marks cut hongey toh qualyfying marks pe farak padega aur agar qualify nai ho paya toh prob ho jayegi .. Anyways lets see kya hota hai. Thanks for the reply

haan sir ji grammar and sentences ache likhey hai but word limits nai dia tha toh mera 2 and a half pages tak exceed hua hai like maybe 450 words something toh kya prob ho jayegi ?? bcz agar word limit dia hota toh usi hisaab se likhti lekin nai dia tha toh kaafi kuch dhang ka relevant likh dia .. Ab sabke comments padh k lag raha hai ki 250 words tak likhna tha agar word limits na bhi dia ho toh bhi 🙁

As written above in Post, There is relaxation of 30% word. It can be more 30% or less 30%.
Means that this time you can write the Word.
Essay : 250+75=325
Letter : 150+45= 195

I am not fully sure about 10% +/- word limit. But if you have seen during your exam that then of course it is correct.

Since after writing ssc mts2 exam I made following mistakes.please answer me that how many marks will be deducted.
1 i wrote 1 letter in about 178 words.
2 1 word wrote 2 times so I put line on the duplicate word.
3 I did not leave space between ending paragraph and yours faithfully line.
Please give me answer that how much marks will be deducted from my score.

I also concerns about your query.But it depends also on checker who checks most of the various factors i.e. like meaningful sentence as well as understandable paragraph, grammar,spelling.
Marks of descriptive exam is not accountable in the merit list selection that i think it will make benefits to you.Enjoy!-:

It is necessary. But if checker is able to understand your topic by your reading paragraph,then there may be no problem.
