Step 2 : Enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Password as well as Captcha.
Step 3 : You can now view the Reserve List of probational allotment for 2016 cycle.
Step 4 : Alternatively, you can go to IBPS Official Website.
Step 5 : Open the link as shown below given in open small clip of home page of IBPS.
Step 6 : Click the link that says “Click Here to View Provisional Allotment of Reserve List Under PO/MT- VI”.
Step 7 : Follow step 1 to 3 to check the reserve list for IBPS PO.
Know about IBPS Reserve List
- According to official notification, A reserve list to the extent of approximately 10 percent of the vacancies under each category may be kept, subject to the availability of candidates. The reason behind a reserve list is to make qualified candidates available for recruitment in the case of seats going vacant which can be due to various reasons.
This time, the question arises that ” why will the seats be vacant when such a huge number of aspirants aim for this very opportunity? “
Why seat becomes vacant? – Reasons
- Candidate has already got better opportunity.
- Selection in a bank not desired by the aspirant.
- Possible posting in a location unfavourable for the candidate.
- Problems in document verification at the time of joining.
- Personal issues after joining.
- There can be many other possible reasons like above given.
Reason behind keeping a reserve list
“In the event of Participating Organisations providing further vacancies during April 2017-March 2018, provisional allotment will be carried out for the candidates from the reserve list.”
As a result, if the participating organizations are in requirement of more candidates during the mentioned period then they already have a list of candidates from the reserved list. Also, in the event of two or more candidates obtaining the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/above the candidate junior in age).
