Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 – Notification, Vacancy and Exam Date

Good news for all the aspirants who want to work as a Sailor. Indian Navy has released a notification regarding the Online application from unmarried male candidates ( who fulfill eligibility condition as laid by the Government of India) for the post of Chef., Steward and Hygienist.
Job Specification
(i). Steward : They would be required to serve the food in the officers messes, as waiters housekeeping, accounting of funds, wines and stores, preparation of menus etc. In addition they will also be allotted other duties as per service agreement.
(ii). Hygienist: They will be required to maintain hygiene in wash rooms and other areas. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per service agreement.
(iii). Chef: They would be required to prepare food as per menu ( both vegetarian and non-vegetarian handling of meat products ) and accounting of ration. In addition they will also be allotted other duties as per service agreement.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 – Eligibility Creteria
(i). Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from the Board of School Education recognised by MHRD govt. of India.
(ii). Candidate should be born between 1st April 1998 to 31 March 2002.
Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 – Application Fee
Recruitment in the Indian Navy is absolutely free. No Money is required to be paid to any agency for selection.
Pay and Perquisities
(i).Pay & Allowance
During the Initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600 /- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in level 3 of Defence Pay Matrix( Rs.21,700 – 69,100 ) In addition, they will be paid MSP @ 5200 per month DA ( as applicable).
(ii). Promotion
Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Officer Petty Officer – I , Level 8 of Defence Pay Matrix ( Rs. 47,600 – Rs. 1,51,100 ) plus MSP @ 5200 per month DA ( as applicable). Opportunities for promotion to commissioned officer also exist for those who perform well and qualify the prescribed examination.
(iii). Insurance Cover
Insurance cover (on contribution) of Rs. 37.50 Lakhs for all sailors is applicable.
(iv). Perquisities
(a). During the entire term of training and thereafter, sailors are given books and reading material, uniform, food and accommodation, etc. free of costs.
(b). Sailors are entitled to medical treatment, Leave Travel Concession for self and dependents, Group Housing Benefits, and other privileges, Sailors are entitled to annual and casual leave, Children Education and House Rent Allowance, Post retirement benefits include pension, gratuity and leave encashment. All perquisities are extended as per service conditions and their eligibility / admissible is regulated as per government order in force and amended from time to time.
Indian Navy Recruitment 2018 – Selection Creteria
Selection of candidates is based on their performance in written test, and qualifying the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in medical examination.
(i). Written Test
(a). The question paper will be in English / Hindi and Objective Type.
(b). The question paper will comprise of two section Science & Mathematics, General Awarness.
(c). The time will be allotted for the examination 30 minutes.
(d). The Candidate are required to pass in all section and in aggregate.
(ii). Physical Fitness Test(PFT)
(a). Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test Is important for selection.
(b). This test will consist of 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 (Uthek- Baithek) and 10 push-ups.
Important Note
(i). Candidates should note that they will be considered for appointment to those entries only for they express their preferences and for no other entry. No request for addition / alternation in the preferences already indicated by a candidate in his application will be entertained by the organisation.
(ii). Candidates is also advised as many preferences as he wishes to option so that having regard to his rank in order of merit due consideration can be giver to his preferences when making appointments.
(iii). A Candidate is required to specify clearly in the online application form the entry for which he wishes to be considered in order of his preference.

Step1 : Candidate need to register by clicking above link with a valid E-mail ID and mobile number in order to fill the online application for the above entry. Already registered candidates need to update the personal, communication and education information particularly, otherwise , The candidate will not be able to view the online application in ‘current opportunity“.
Step2 : There are two ways for registration (i) With Aadhaar (ii) Without Aadhaar. Candidates can use with aadhaar option for simplified application process.
Step3 : “Log-In ” with the registered E-mail ID and click on Current Opportunity.
Step4 : Click on Apply Button
Step5 : Fill the form completely, before clicking the “Submit” make sure all details are correct and all required documents are scanned in original and uploaded.
Step6 : Online application will be further scrutinised for eligibility and rejected if found not eligible in any respect.
Step7 : The Photograph to be uploaded should be of good quality with blue background. size of the photograph should be between 60-100 KB
