Take a look at an in-depth analysis of three parts of essay writing.

  • Introduction- The first and most important thing is to start your essay with a good introduction, which helps you in attracting more readers. It is suggested to start this introduction with the topic and purpose of writing that essay. You can start your essay with a hook like a story, dialogue, a quote, topic summary, shocking revelation etc. Along with this, you should keep in mind that the introduction should not be very long and 5-6 lines are sufficient for that.
  • Body- This is the part of the essay in which you need to discuss, argue or explain your topic in detail. You can extend this part into multiple paragraphs and must include facts and figures from reliable sources. Do not put all your gathered information in the essay in a haphazard manner as that can lead to confusion in the reader’s mind. It is recommended to organize your thoughts and follow a systematic approach for writing this part of the essay.
  • Conclusion- Try to sum up your story in this part of the essay. Do not introduce any new ideas and keep yourself limited to summarizing your arguments. Keep it short and do not try to leave any hanging thread in the conclusion part.
  1. Letter Writing- Know the types of letter and the format of the same to crack this section. There are two types of Letter- Formal and Informal Letters. Let’s discuss both in details:
  • Formal Letter- Start with writing the address of the sender, then the receiver and after that write date. All should be on the left side of the margin. Then write salutation/greeting on the left side. After that, begin with the body of the letter, which should be concise and easy to understand for the receiver. Keep only the essential information in a clear and logical manner. End letter with; ‘’Yours Faithfully’’ or ‘’Yours Sincerely’’.
  • Informal Letter- Write your sender’s address on the right-hand corner and after leaving a line, write the date. After then, write salutation /greetings. Then comes the text or body of the letter. You can use informal language, try to use active voice and try to put more questions in the letter as this can provide a good base.
