RRB JE Exam Pattern 2019-20

Exam Paper (Questions) will be Objective Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) based. It will come in English & other languages – Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

RRB JE CBT 1 Exam

It is common for all the notified posts. Total number of questions are 100 and total time – duration is 90 minutes.

-> Negative marking will be for each incorrect answer given in CBTs. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

-> Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%. Percentages of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

-> CBT 1st stage is only screening test. This will contain the standard of question from basic education or minimal technical questions.

-> Normalized score of 1st stage exam will be used for short listing of candidates for 2nd stage exam according to their merit.

RRB JE CBT 2 Exam

Total duration of RRB Junior Engineer CBT Stage 2 is 120 minutes and total number of questions is 150.

-> Selection of candidates for the 2nd stage CBT exam will be based on the normalized marks obtained by them in 1st stage of CBT exam.

-> Virtual calculator will be made available on the Computer Monitor during 2nd stage of CBT exam.

-> Negative Marking : 1/3rd of question mark will be deducted for each wrong answer from total.

-> Same Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories as in 1st stage of CBT.

-> There can be variation in the actual question papers. Total number of candidates to be shortlisted for 2nd Stage shall be 15 times the community wise total vacancy of Posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in 1st Stage CBT.

RRB JE Document Verification Process

1. Candidates shortlisted for DV are required to produce all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photo copies of all documents at the time of DV. Further, these candidates should upload the scanned copies (in true color) of all the certificates as applicable prior to their DV date through www.rrbdv.in portal.

2. All Certificates should be either in English or Hindi only. Where certificates are not in English/Hindi, self-attested translated version (In Hindi/English) should be produced wherever/whenever required. Certificates produced during the DV should be strictly in the prescribed formats.

3. No additional time will be given to the candidates not producing their original certificates on date of their DV and the
candidature of such candidates is liable to be forfeited.

4. Matriculation/High School Examination Certificate or Equivalent certificate as Proof for Date of Birth.

5. 10 +2 / Inter / Higher Secondary/PUC (As applicable)

6. Diploma / Engineering/Science Degree Certificate with Semester wise Mark Sheets (As applicable).
