Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally released the NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) notification to apply online for 35,277 vacant posts.

RRB NTPC Vacancy 2019
Under Graduate Posts with Minimum Educational Qualification of 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent examination and Age between 18 to 30 Years as on 01.07.2019.
Graduate Posts with Minimum Educational Qualification of a University Degree or its equivalent and Age between 18 to 33 Years as on 01.07.2019.
Note: Reservations for SC, ST, OBC (Non Creamy Layer), EWS, PwBD, ExSM and Relaxations in age for various eligible categories will be applicable as per details contained in this CEN.
RRB NTPC Post Preference
The options from the candidates for various posts for which they are eligible in the opted RRB, shall be taken during submission of ONLINE applications.
On completion of all stages of recruitment process, RRBs will allot Post & Railway/Unit as per the option of the eligible candidates ONLY subject to merit, medical standard and vacancy position. Once candidates have been empanelled as per their merit/choice, they will forfeit the right to be considered for any other post/category within the same level of 7th CPC.
Candidates with partial option will be considered only for the specific categories opted by them. In case, no option is given for certain posts, it would be considered as their unwillingness for the same.
However, RRBs also reserve the right to allot Post/Railway/Unit not opted by the candidates, if considered necessary in administrative interest, subject to the candidate (s) meeting the requirements of the post allotted.
Selection by RRB does not confer upon candidates any right of appointment in the Railways. The function of the RRB is to recommend names of suitable candidates to the concerned authorities of the Zonal Railway/Production Unit who in turn will issue the offer of appointment letter subject to availability of vacancies and candidates satisfying all eligibility criteria including antecedents and character.
Selected candidates will have to execute Surety and/or Indemnity Bond wherever necessary at the time of joining in Railways.
Ordinarily, a Railway servant shall be employed throughout his/her service on the Railway or Railway establishment to which he/she is posted on first appointment and shall have no claim as a right for transfer to another railway or another establishment.
Selected candidates who are finally appointed are liable for active service in Railway Engineers’ Unit of Territorial Army.
RRB NTPC Free Travelling – Sleeper Class Railway Pass
Free Sleeper Class Railway Pass is admissible to SC/ST candidates only. SC/ST candidates who wish to avail free travel authority will have to indicate ‘Yes‘ in the relevant column in the ONLINE application and upload valid caste certificate. For such candidates, free Sleeper Class Railway Pass will be a part of e-call letter when they are called for various stages of recruitment viz. CBT, Computer based Aptitude Test, Typing Skill Test, document verification etc. as per the details furnished and uploaded in ONLINE application. It is the responsibility of the candidates availing free travel authority to give the correct name of the Railway Station in online application, failing which their travel authority may not be valid for travel and obtaining reservation.
At the time of obtaining reservation and traveling, the Reservation Clerk and/or Ticket Checking Staff will ask for the original SC/ST community certificate for verification of genuineness of the candidate. Any attempt to misuse this travelling authority shall lead to rejection of candidature at any stage of the recruitment process and debarment for future examinations conducted by RRBs/RRCs.
RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria 2019
Candidates must read all the detailed eligibility criteria required for these posts. Below are the some eligibility criteria parameters.
Nationality/ Citizenship
A candidate must be either: (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(f) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above ,shall be a person ,in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit
The lower and upper age limit indicated for the post(s) in the Vacancy Table will be considered as on 01.07.2019.
For 7th CPC Level-2 and 3 (Under Graduate Level Posts = 12th Class Passed), the Date of Birth of candidates should be between the dates given below (both dates inclusive):
Relaxation In Age for Under Graduate Level Posts
Candidates who have completed 12th class standard and currently doing Graduation can check the age relaxation in various categories for NTPC Posts.
For 7th CPC Level 4, 5 and 6 (Graduate level Posts), the Date of Birth of candidates should be between the dates given below (both dates inclusive):

Aspirants who have completed the graduation can check the age relaxation for NTPC posts. Some relaxation age limit are same for few categories as of under graduate level posts. Changed relaxation Age limit are given below.

RRB NTPC Exam Fee
Candidates have to pay the exam fee as per below categories and some amount will be refunded after attempting 1st CBT.

How to apply for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019
1. Click on the above link for which state you want to apply. Click on ‘New Registration‘ and select your post state where you want the job.
2. Select the ‘Qualification on the basis of which you are applying‘ – 12th class or graduate.
3. Select your ‘Community or Category’ and also ‘Are you PwBD’.
4. Click on Submit and then Apply Button.
5. Select the all check buttons and click on Submit button.
6. Enter all the below information –
- Name
- Date of Birth (DOB)
- Aadhaar Card Status & Number
- Father and Mother’s name
- Matriculation/ 10th/ SSLC Roll Number
- Year of Passing Matriculation/10th/SSLC
- Mobile number, Email Id.
7. Click on Submit Button and one OTP will be send separately to your mobile number and email id. So verify the OTP and after clicking on Submit, your registration number will be activated.
8. Now Login through that registration number.
9. Enter your information like Religion, other questions for Part-1 Registration.
10. Click on save and pay the payment online or through Challan.
11. For Part-2 application registration page,
(i) Set priority/preferences for posts.
(ii) Education Qualification, Choose of exam language, Identification mark for you, Bank account details for refund.
(iii) Upload Photograph (size 35mmX45mm or 320 x 240 pixels. JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 DPI resolution, 20-50KB) – It must have been taken on or after 01-01-2019 and should have name and date printed on it.
Signature – Size 50 mm x 20 mm, JPG/JPEG format scanned with 100 DPI resolution, of 50 mm x 20 mm or 140 x 60 pixels (preferred), 10 KB – 40 KB.
SC/ST Certificate Upload : Scanned copy of their SC/ ST certificates (JPG/JPEG format, 50 KB – 100 KB) also for availing the facility of Free Travel Authority (Second Class Railway Pass).
12. Now submit the application and keep roll number safe for future use.
