1. Present age of Radha and Sudha is in ratio 7 : 9 , before five years, their ages was is in ratio 3 : 4. What will be the age of Sudha from this time ?
2. If 50% of (x – y ) = 20% of (x+y), Then find the % of x , y ?
3. Difference between the two number is 5, if their multiplication is 336, then what is the sum of two number ?
Ans – let two number is x, y
A.T.Q ⇒ x-y=5, x × y = 336
y= 336 / x
Put value of y in x-y=5
x – 336 / x = 5
x^2 -336 =5x
So, x^ 2 – 5x = 336
Solving this equation gives
x= 21 or x = -16
Hence, if x is 21 then y= 16 and if x is -16 then y=-21.
Now the sum of these two numbers will be -21 +(-16) = -37 or 21 + 16 = 37.
