Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) notification form. This notification is regarding the job profile of Assistant Commandants (AC).

UPSC organizes UPSC CPF AC Exam for appointment of candidates to Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criterion is the important factor which is considered in the recruitment. Candidate should look on the eligibility criterion before filling the CAPF 2018 application form. Candidate can make sure through the eligibility criterion whether he is eligible or not for competitive examination.

(A) Age Limit

Minimum Age : 20 years

Maximum Age : 25 years

Note : Age will be taken into consideration as on 1st August 2018.

Candidate must have been not born earlier than 2nd August 1993 and not later than 1st August 1998.

(B) Gender Eligibility

Male/Female both are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Commandant.

(C) Education Qualification

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a government recognized Institute or university.

(D) Nationality

Candidate should be a citizen of India(mandatory).

(E) Medical 

The candidates must have to satisfy the medical standards made by the CAPFs.

Candidate can do payment by Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card, or either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore.

Step 4 : On Completing First part, save registration Id for completing the Part-II.

Step 5 : Now click on ‘Click Here for Part-II’ and enter your Registration Id and Date of Birth. Click on Submit button. And fill all your information.

Step 6 : Alternatively, you can visit to the Official website of UPSC and then on www.upsconline.nic.in

Step 7 : Now follow the steps from 2 to 6 for completing the application form.

CAPF AC Exam Pattern 2018

CAPF AC Exam consists of two sections – Paper-I and Paper-II.

CAPF AC Paper Timing 

CAPF AC will be divided into two Paper. Paper-1 will be held in afternoon shift and Paper-2 in evening shift.

Paper-2 Timing : 2.00 p.m to 5.00 p.m.

UPSC CAPF AC 2018 Selection Procedure

Candidate will be selected based on the following three stages

  1. Written Test – Paper 1 & Paper 2
  2. Physical Efficiency Test(PET)/ Medical Standard Test
  3. Personal Interview

Physical Standard

Personal Interview

Candidates shortlisted in the written examination followed by the medical test will get a chance for the interview. Candidate can be finally selected by its own personality and behavioural knowledge. This round identify the characters of the candidates. The Interview/ Personality Test will carry 150 marks.

Final Selection

The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/ Personality Test.
