UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the UPSC CAPF. Eligibility details are provided below.

Sex : Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants (ACs).

Nationality : No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing be appointed or employed under these Rules.

UPSC CAPF Age Limit

Candidates must have the below attained age for AC posts.

Minimum Age : 20 years

Maximum Age : 25 years

UPSC CAPF Age Relaxation

Upper age limit will be relaxable as given.

OBC 3 years
Civilian Central Government Servants in accordance with the existing instructions of the Central Government. Ex-Servicemen will also be eligible for this relaxation. 5 years
Candidates had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of J & K during period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989. 5 years

UPSC CAPF Educational Qualification

Candidates must complete a degree from any recognized university in any discipline. NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate possession will be a desirable qualification. These qualification will also be given importance at the Interview and PI time.

UPSC CAPF Application Fee

Eligible candidates can only apply through online mode. Application Fee can be paid either online (credit/debit cards/ Net Banking) or SBI Challan.

UPSC CAPF Selection Process

Commission or Recruitment Board will select the candidates through the 4 phases.

  1. Written Test
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Medical Exam
  3. Interview/Personality Test
  4. Final Selection/Merit List

UPSC CAPF Written Exam Pattern

Written test contains of two below papers. Paper 1 will be held from 10 am to 12 Noon and Paper 2 from 2 pm to 5 pm.

UPSC CAPF Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test (PST)

Aspirants who have qualified the written exam will have to participate in PET. Applicants should have the below prescribed physical standard.

UPSC CAPF Medical Standard Test

Medical Standard Test (MST) will also take place for the candidates who qualified for PET/PST.

UPSC CAPF Interview/ Personality Test

Interview or Personal Interview (PI) is carry 150 marks. Candidates who have qualified in Medical Standard Test will only be allowed for Interview or Personality Test (PT).

UPSC Final Selection/ Merit List

Merit List will be calculated based on the written exam marks and PI marks.

How to Apply for UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2019?

  1. Click on above given official website link.
  2. On Home page, go to ‘Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC’.
  3. Now Click on the page for registration link for Part 1.
  4. After this, Click on Yes for agree in given instructions.
  5. Fill you information and complete the Part -1 Registration.
  6. Part 1 Registration → Payment → Centre Selection → Photo & Sign Upload → Agreeing to Declaration
  7. Now after completion of Part 1 , Click for the PART -II registration.
  8. Enter your Registration Id created in first part as well as Date of birth. Fill all required Information accordingly.
  9. At last candidates should take a printout of submitted application form for further reference.
