HTET Level 1 Syllabus & Exam Pattern – Structure For Primary Teacher (PRT) [Class 1st to 5th]
Haryana TET Level 1 is exam for the post of primary teacher (PRT). It is MCQ based exam. Duration for Level 1 exam is two and a half (2.5) hours.

HTET Level 1 – Nature and Standard of Questions
A). Child Development and Pedagogy : The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning. Below are some other topics for Child Development & Pedagogy Syllabus.
i). Principles of development of children.
ii). Concepts of development and its relationship with learning.
iii). Influence of Heredity & Environment
iv). Socialization Processes : Social world & children
v). Concepts of child-centered and progressive education
vi). Piaget, Kohlberg and Vygotsky: constructs and critical perspectives

viii). Individual differences among learners, understanding differences based on diversity of language, caste, gender, community, religion etc.

-> The test items for Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Haryana G.K and Awareness Language will focus on the elements of Mental and Reasoning ability and General Knowledge regarding Haryana State.
-> The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects. In all these subject areas, the test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the that subject prescribed for classes I-V by the Education Department, Govt. of Haryana.
-> The questions in the tests for Level-I will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus for classes I-V, but their difficulty standard, as well as linkages, could be upto the secondary stage.
HTET Level 1 – Negative Marking
There shall be no negative marking.
HTET Level 1 Qualifying Marks
Below is the qualifying marks for Haryana TET Level 1.

Level 2 exam is for becoming teacher for class VI – VIII. There shall be only one paper. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.

HTET Level 2 Qualifying Marks
It has the same qualifying marks for Haryana TET Level 2 (Trained Graduate Teacher) as HTET Level 1.
HTET Level 3 Syllabus & Exam Pattern – Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) [Lecturer]
There shall be only one paper in this category. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. It will be have 2.5 hours duration for exam.
