Full form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. AFCAT usually released this notification for the post of Flying, Ground Duty (Tech), Ground Duty (Non-Tech).Second cycle of AFCAT recruitment for year 2020 has begun for Flying branch and Ground duty staff. Notification for AFCAT 1 2019-20 has been released on 30th Nov 2019. Online Submission for AFCAT 2019 Application Form will begin from 1st Dec 2019. Last date for submission of AFCAT 1 2019 Application Form will be 30th Dec 2019. Candidates are suggested to apply online on or before the last date. This post is for both Indian citizens (Male and Women).
Indian Air Force (IAF) for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. Online applications are also invited for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For grant of PC/SSC in Flying Branch) and Meteorology Branch.
AFCAT 1 2020 exam is expected to be held either on 22 Feb 2020 (Saturday) or 23 Feb 2020 (Sunday) which is usually organized by Indian Air Force examination department. It is a national level exam. It is mandatory for the candidates opting for Ground Duty (Technical) branch to appear in both AFCAT as well as Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2019-20
Candidates should read eligibility criteria carefully before applying for any post.
A. AFCAT Age Limit
The age limit is basically depend on the branch. Age for AFCAT has been considered as on 1st Jan 2021. Age limit for branch wise is mentioned below.
For Flying Branch
Candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January 1997 and not later than 1st January 2001.
Min Age : 20
Max Age : 24
For Ground Duty
Candidate should not be born earlier than 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 2001.
Min Age : 20
Max Age : 26
Note : Candidate must be mentally and physically fit because physically challenged persons are not eligible for the exam.
B. AFCAT Educational Qualification
Education qualification is also depend on the branch. Below is the mentioned education qualification branch wise.
For Flying Branch
A graduate in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or B.E/B. Tech with minimum 60% marks. OR
Candidates must have secured 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
For Ground Duty (Technical)
A graduation level degree in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level with minimum 60% marks. OR
A candidate must have completed 4 years graduation or integration Post graduation in Engineering/Technology
OR
A candidate must obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
For Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
Graduation level degree any discipline with minimum 60% marks and obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).

How to fill Online AFCAT 2 2019 Application Form?
Step 1 : Open the official website of IAF.
Step 2 : Check the “What’s New” Section.
Step 3 : Read the notification carefully.
Step 4 : Click on Apply link if you are eligible.
Step 5 : New User will have to register first.
Step 6 : Already registered user can login with registration Id and Password.
Step 7 : Fill all the required details carefully in the online application form 2018.
Step 8 : Upload your scanned copy of passport size photograph, signature and other required documents.
Step 9 : Recheck each details and submit the application form finally.
Step 10 : Pay the application fee through internet banking or cards or challan.
Step 11 : Take a printout of submitted application form for future use.

Staff Selection Board (SSB) Interview
Post clearing the AFCAT 2019 written exam, candidates will have to face SSC Interview. Two stages exist for this.
Stage-I : Officer Intelligence Rating Test and Picture Perception and Discussion Test
Stage-II : Psychology Test, Written Exam, Group Test (Combination of Indoor and Outdoor Activities), and Interviews
Note : Candidates who have cleared the first stage will be selected for SSB Interview Second Stage.
