SSC CHSL Exam Analysis 12th March 2018 (Shift 2)- Quantitative Aptitude Questions Asked
1. If tanθ + cotθ = 2, Then find the value of tan3θ + cot3θ = ?
2. If 5tanθ = 4 then what will be the value of (5sinθ – 3cosθ) / (5sinθ + 3cosθ) = ?
Ans – tanθ = 4 / 5,( sinθ / cosθ ) = 4 / 5 ,
cosθ(5 × sinθ / cosθ – 3 ) / cosθ(5 × sinθ / cosθ + 3) —–1
Put the value of sinθ / cosθ = 4 / 5 in —1
(4-3) / (4 + 3) = 1 / 7
3. Find the value of sin221° + sin269° = ?
Ans – sin221° + (sin(90°-21°))2
sin221° + cos221° = 1
4. Difference between the two numbers is 9 and their difference between the squares is 207. What will be the numbers ?
Ans – let two number is a and b
a – b =9 —-1
a2 – b2 = 207
(a – b ) × (a + b) = 207 —–2
Put the value of 1st equation in 2nd equation
9 × (a + b) = 207
a + b = 23 ——3
Now use elimination method in equation 3rd and 4th
a = 16, b = 7
5. Calculation for average of 20 numbers is 35, later it was found that during the calculation for average one number 85 is read as 45 by mistake. What will be the right average
Ans – average for 20 numbers is = 35
right number = 85
wrong number = 45
Subtract wrong from right
85 – 45 = 40
40 / 20 = 2
add 35 + 2 = 37
6. When all median are of same size, then triangle is of which type? Ans – Equilateral Triangle
7. Perimeter of Circle is 36 cm. Find Area.
8. tan60° – 1/3
9. By selling 30 caps, seller gains profit of 3 cap. Find profit %.
10. Find x intercept from coordinate Geometry?
11. Which number is 30% less of 80% of 800.
12. Frequency = given, velocity = given, Find wavelength = ? v = fλ
